A few years back, I started avidly researching nootropics with an intention to find supplements or herbs that would ultimately improve not just my gym performance - but life itself.

I started to dive into the field of adaptogens - herbal nootropics that help reduce fatigue, stress, and more.

This eventually led to the creation of our morning herbal supplement, Spark.

So with that, we wanted to help you seize your morning by diving into Spark in it's entirety.

Let's dive in!

About Spark

Spark is our adaptogenic-nootropic (mood booster, brain booster, and stress reducer). It was forged to ignite your mornings with some additional positivity, energy, and more.

Spark consists of various herbal components that have been used for centuries. These, combined with modern scientific research, allows us to maximize their benefits.

The Components of Spark

At Reforged, we have three end-states in mind when it comes to crafting quality formulations: synergy, absorption, and mitigation.

For Spark, it is synergy: every part of our components enhance the effects or experience of one another. You can see this with the mind & body performance benefits of each adaptogen in Spark.

Each component of Spark is used to synergistically work with one another, providing compounding benefits. While Spark is an adaptogenic powerhouse, we combined it with a focus-boosting nootropic as well. This allows Spark to help prepare you for a focus-intensive day.

In this section, we are going to talk about each component of Spark, and how they work together.

Bacopa Monnieri

Bacopa Monnieri is a nootropic-adaptogenic herb that improves cognition as a result of its anxiety-reducing capabilities. In addition, bacopa monnieri has also been shown to improve long-term memory.

According to one double-blind study, Bacopa Monnieri improved attention and reduced anxiety & depression. This makes it a powerful nootropic to have in your arsenal.

Ashwagandha

Ashwagandha is an adaptogenic herb that is known as the "King of Ayurvedic Herbs". According to a double-blind study, Ashwagandha reduced anxiety over the course of a 60-day trial.

When it comes to stress, ashwagandha promotes healthy levels of cortisol. As a result, it improves immune health, fatigue reduction, and brainpower. This makes Ashwagandha a powerful adaptogen that enhances mind & body performance.

Rhodiola Rosea

Rhodiola Rosea is an adaptogen known as the "golden root". Rhodiola Rosea helps promote health, strength, cognition, and more.

In regards to fatigue, one double-blind study showed that Rhodiola Rosea helped improve performance on work-related tasks by 20%. This study also showed significant improvements to brainpower as a result of the fatigue reduction.

With Rhodiola Rosea, there are a plethora of benefits that come from supplementation.

It's my personal favorite out of all the components of Spark.

CDP-Choline

We are very familiar with citicoline (or choline), as we use a form of it in our nootropic, Impulse. CDP-Choline is used to enhance brain power by improving information processing, memory, and focus/attention. In one double-blind study, it improved attention & focus in healthy adult women.

We use CDP-Choline in Spark for its strength. Combine it with Impulse and experience powerful cognitive benefits.

Stacking With Spark

We created Spark with the intention of stacking it with Impulse and/or Drift. While you do not necessarily need the others as Spark is a complete product, Impulse and Drift can help optimize your mind and body performance.

For example, Spark combined with Impulse is a powerful morning stack to start your day off strong with a cognitive boost. In addition, if you use Drift in the evening and Spark the next morning, you can wake up energized and ready to crush the day.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

In this section, we will go over frequently asked questions that we have received. If there are any other great questions in the future, we will include them here.

How should I take Spark?

It is recommended that you take Spark with food and a caffeinated beverage like Impulse. For some, Spark's adaptogens may relax people too much, so taking it caffeine will surely motivate you.

To start, you may take one capsule (1/2 serving) to assess, before moving on to two capsules.

Never exceed more than two capsules daily.

How long should you take Spark for?

Spark needs to be taken frequently and consistently to experience its benefits. For some, it may take a few weeks to see improvements in fatigue reduction, mood, energy, and more.

While there aren't any exact guidelines for adaptogens, we recommend taking Spark for at least 1-2 months consistently before taking a small break of 1-4 weeks.

Can I take Spark at other times of the day?

You are able to take Spark on other parts of the day. For the best results, we recommend taking it in the morning or before work.

We recommend taking Spark with Impulse or caffeine if you're looking to have an active morning. This is because Spark may make some lethargic due to adaptogens providing a calming effect.

Can I take other adaptogens with Spark?

I would not recommend additional adaptogens with Spark, as Spark is efficaciously-dosed. They're properly dosed for maximum results, so adding additional adaptogens may actually impede your productivity.

Carpe Diem.

To conclude, Spark is our Adaptogenic-Nootropic that helps you manage fatigue, energy, and mood. It is a great product you can use to start your day with, stacked with caffeine.

For synergistic results, combine it with Impulse to optimize mind & body performance.
